I have a friend who includes regular guest posts on her blog to free up more time for her own writing. She sends her guests a rubric to follow so the post will fit the parameters of the site she uses along with guidelines for the post. It makes less work for her to upload the post and assures her that her readers will not be unpleasantly surprised by content etc.

I’ve often thought about hosting a guest on my blog but it’s been a rare occasion, only because I wasn’t sure of the guidelines on how to go about it properly. I love writing but I don’t love the marketing. I needed to get past the feeling of boasting. Thanks again. I’ll consider this another step in my education.
