And you figured out the thing that I share with young people who are struggling with finding their way, finding their happiness: we all have to find our self-defeating behaviors, our self-defeating habits and dial that shit down until we aren’t so much getting in our own way.
This essay is really well done.
It looks like a first draft of an essay that could be in Writer’s Digest or better, Poet’s & Writers.
And you have the skill and material to be writing for Modern Love or the Essay section in the WSJ.
