Triangle Association of Freelancers (TAF) is an association of North Carolina-based writers who are actively pursuing freelance careers. Founded in 2003 by veteran writer and mentor Donald Vaughan, membership was set in motion as a means of providing ongoing support and encouragement for his former students. By 2004, the association expanded its reach to other area aspiring and established writers for the purposes of networking, professional development, and advocating for fair compensation of all content creators. And in 2008, TAF launched its annual daylong writing symposium: Write Now!

The association champions a professional attitude toward freelance writing: write well, and write for publication.
